The calculations should be inside the Draw method, since it should calculate how many frames / second, not how many updates / second
ShowFPS was there for a reason.
How would you switch off the FPS display? I see that you set Visible through the constructor, but how do you switch it off programaticly?
Rename?
Perhaps the game component should be renamed... when I first saw it I thought it was going to be Game.CreateFPS(). I can see newbies making the same mistake in assuming FPS = First Person Shooter and not Frames Per Second.
Best possible suggestion I can come up with: FramerateCompontent
